Sustainable Development Education Training and Advisory Trust
We are a community-based non-profit trust, and social enterprise. Our vision is to promote sustainable, culturally-valued, and inclusive development through education, training, campaigns and business.
What We Do
SDETAT is a Life Skills Development and Training Trust that delivers free educational, vocational and life skills programmes to violence survivors, supporting learners toward wellbeing, empowerment and self-sufficiency.
SDETAT history
SDETAT has origins in Shakti Community Council, but it has grown and developed in its own right to expand services to the wider community, and focus on sustainable development goals.
Sustinnoworx
Sustinnoworx is a social enterprise based in Henderson, Auckland. It sells preloved clothing and eco-products, and upcycles textiles in its in-house sewing workshop to tackle textile waste.
Professional Workshops
SDETAT offers a range of professional development, domestic violence and other specialised training workshops to professionals and organisations including social workers, counsellors and non-governmental groups.
Campaign
The Zero Textile Waste campaign is an ongoing information and education campaign, delivering accessible information to the community on avoiding and utilising textile waste.
